Scanscout claims to have a technology to scan online videos and analyze their content. They will then match the content against their advertisers database and deliver in-movie textlinks. It should be a quite efficient way to place ads in UGC environments where „classical“ advertisers still have concerns to show up…I wonder if the performance of their system could be able to handle a site like youtube – well, they won’t ever get on youtube though google will buy them… 😉
